Red Sox fan from Maine that moved to the Charlotte, NC area in June '07. Been a Sox fan forever so I've seen a lot of bad baseball, now reaping the benefits of quality ownership. Obviously no Major League team here, but there's a bunch of Minor League teams. I'm sure I'll make a trip or two to Atlanta, Baltimore and/or D.C to see games as well. I have no credentials to actually write about baseball, just been a baseball freak forever. I've been a long time subscriber of Baseball America, have every BA Almanac (or Statistical Report) and every Sporting News Baseball Yearbook since 1984. Dozens of books documenting some part of baseball history. I have plenty of knowledge to back up my future blogs (which may become rants). Lets see....I can't stand people who complain about salaries, steriods causing HRs, and "traditionalist" who think pitchers should be hitting. Another pet peeve of mine is the win stat for pitchers. Depending on when/if anyone reads this all these topics will be or have been covered in a blog.
